Michael Edmondson

Michael Edmondson, Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), is the President of Capital and Planning.  He has been in the securities industry for over over thirty years. Edmondson graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Michael worked as an intern and an analyst for the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas before accepting a position as Vice President of a boutique investment bank in Dallas, Texas. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. Mr. Edmondson achieved the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in 2003.

After ten years as Vice President of Investments at Heritage Bank in Jonesboro, Georgia and another ten years as Senior Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessor, Wachovia Securities, Mr. Edmondson founded Capital and Planning in 2017. Capital and Planning became an SEC registered investment advisor in 2022.

As a fiduciary, when acting in an advisory capacity, Michael Edmondson puts his clients’ interest first. Capital and Planning provides financial guidance primarily on a fee-basis, which aligns our interests directly with our clients’ interests. The result is a professional relationship where clients can have confidence that their financial future is being cared for every step of the way, and that decisions about their investments will be made for the right reasons.
